Landscape photography from the north west

Welcome...

...to the White Cat Gallery which is named for a beautiful white cat that was our pet and naming my web page for her seemed an appropriate way of remembering her ... she was a great character. Like most cats we didn't own her – we were her staff!

My interest in digital photography started when my husband bought me a small camera a few years ago. I now have four Fuji Finepix cameras; an advanced compact, the E900, the S9500 with a long zoom, and the S5 Pro, a high end digital SLR which I can change the lens on. I also have the S3 Pro. I tend to mostly use the S5 Pro with a wide angle lens. I especially like the superior dynamic range and tonal quality that they all provide.

I have a love of, and have been inspired by, the Scottish landscape which I attempt to show in my photography. I concentrate on the North West coast of Sutherland and the Lochaber and surrounding areas.
